If you are here, chances are you know me. Chances are, you are familiar with my story and you are here to follow my progress. In case you stumbled upon this bog by accident, this is what you need to know.
Fricka is a nickname I was given in HS & it stuck, now a few precious Kiddos call me Aunt Frick and I <3 it ... I am a big girl, who is Happy being "The Big Girl!" I learned early on in the game, the more you love yourself the more others will love you. I wear that plump badge proudly, but as much as I have loved being the "jolly fat girl," I am miserable! Let's face it dressing a body like mine is no walk in the park, speaking of walks in the park, that is no picnic either ... picnic, oh yummy ...ugh ... somebody stop me! If it were in the cards I would gladly remain this size until the day I died (which would likely be sooner than I liked.) Lucky for me though, there were different plans in the works for me and for that I am grateful. First & foremost my families health & happiness are suffering, this is NEVER OK. I am a ticking time bomb & I have personal space issues, just to name a few. I have decided, along with a very dear friend of mine, to travel to Mexico for Gastric Sleeve surgery. This is the kick-start I need to make a difference in the future of my family. |

After 3 months I figure it's time for this lady to have an about me page! So I'll take it upon myself to introduce this little bit of Southern awesome to the world!
Yes, Sunny Brooks is her real name! Isn't it amazing? From the first moment I met her I was jealous of that name! Sunny has a heart of gold and when she makes a connection with someone she is unbelievably loyal. She is not afraid of a little hard work and responsibility and she puts up with my crazy which makes her awesome! One of the things that make Sunny and I friends is that she also loves people and cultures and she isn't intimidated by the human race. Her stories about the times she lived in not only Little Rock but New Orleans are amazing. Boy am I glad she and her husband "Mateo" found their way to little ol' McDonald co., Mo though... where would I be today without her in my life!?! Everyone has a different motivator when deciding to make such huge life changes. For Sunny, more than anything she just wanted to get healthy. She no longer wanted to be stuck taking the daily superscription medication and wanted to enjoy her time with her granddaughter. We were both in awe when right after the sx the Dr. told her she didn't need her medication anymore! Sunny was the instigator on this whole trip. The planning process went so smoothly for us and we are forever joined together by this experience! Sunny, as much as me, left not only a part of her tummy, but her heart in Mexico too! |
